Jetlagging

Greetings from Sydney! Daily report isn't too interesting - I got into Sydney before 7am local time and headed straight to my hotel (very odd hotel room, extremely high ceiling), for a nap. Headed into the centre of town around midday for some lunch (nandos, hey), and then back again for 4ish once I realised I couldn't walk any more - not even to see the Opera House. I'll be back in Syndey at the end of my trip for a few nights, so I wasn't worried about checking anything off my list, today is more about adjusting to the time zone and touching down before heading up to Cairns tomorrow.
Initial thoughts on Sydney - firstly, I have next to no idea since apparently jetleg is akin to being drunk and hungover all at once. The buildings are higher than I thought (seems like a stupid observation, but true, I didn't think it would be quite as tall), and it feels very Asian. I've never been to Asia but there is definitely a heavy presence here - every other shop is Korean beauty, sushi, noodles or an asian supermarket. Obviously, geographically this makes sense, but again, a surprise. Again again, I don't think I can confidently comment on anything else as I walked around a specific area and was mostly concentrating on not tripping over my own feet or throwing my passport into the street.

It's 5pm and struggling to keep my eyes open - hoping I can hold out to 7 at least, and then get a (super) early night ahead of flight tomorrow.

Over and oot x
